The Secretary can accept gifts, bequests, or services left in writing for the Museum if the donor meant them for the Museum and the Secretary finds them suitable, and can manage or dispose of those gifts. The Secretary can run a gift shop at the museum that sells items related to the museum, charge reasonable fees when appropriate, show or publish museum materials in any format or place, and rent space on museum grounds under rules the Secretary approves. Money made from these activities can be used to pay the Museum’s costs.
