States must regularly tell people each year about places or times when national air-quality standards were exceeded during the prior year. The notices must warn about health risks, tell people how to reduce exposure, and explain ways the public can join efforts to improve air quality. States can use signs, TV, radio, or press notices. The Administrator may give grants to help states pay for these notifications.
