§7661 Definitions

Summary

Defines four key terms used in the subchapter. Affected source — see the meaning given in subchapter IV–A. Major source — any stationary source, or group of stationary sources on contiguous land under common control, that meets either the definition in section 7412 or the definitions in section 7602 or part D of subchapter I. Schedule of compliance — a timetable of corrective steps, including an enforceable order of actions, to meet an applicable implementation plan, emission standard, emission limit, or emission ban. Permitting authority — the Administrator or an air pollution control agency the Administrator has authorized to run a permit program under this subchapter.
