Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 7— - SOCIAL SECURITY › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER VII— - ADMINISTRATION › § 914
Create an Office of Women’s Health inside the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The Administrator must appoint a director. The director must report to the Administrator about HRSA’s current work on women’s health across ages and different biological and social groups. The director must set short- and long-term goals, work with other HRSA offices on training, health services, research, and demonstration projects, pick which women’s health projects HRSA bureaus should carry out or support, consult with health professionals and consumer and nonprofit groups, and serve on the HHS Coordinating Committee on Women’s Health. The director takes over authority for HRSA women’s health projects on March 23, 2010. The law says “Administration” means HRSA, “Administrator” means its head, and “Office” means the Office of Women’s Health. Funds may be provided as needed for fiscal years 2010 through 2014.
