Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 106— - COMMUNITY SERVICES BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM › § 9919

Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

States can test people in programs under this law for controlled substances. If someone tests positive, the State must tell them about treatment or rehab and refer them to appropriate services. Money used for testing counts as administrative costs and is limited by section 9907(b)(2). "Controlled substance" means what section 802 of title 21 defines. Each fiscal year an eligible entity gets a grant under section 9907, it must tell custodial parents in single‑parent families in its programs about child support services and refer eligible parents to State or local child support offices.
