If you were a full-time officer or employee of the Department of the Interior who worked on duties under this subchapter, and in the 12 months before you left you were paid under the Executive Schedule or at or above the GS‑16 rate, you must follow post-employment limits. For two years after leaving, you must not act as an agent or lawyer for anyone other than the United States, try to influence by oral or written communication for someone else, or help represent someone in any formal or informal appearance about matters under this subchapter. For one year after leaving, you also must not act as an agent or lawyer for someone other than the United States or, with intent to influence, communicate on their behalf in such matters.
