Title 43 › Chapter CHAPTER 32B— - COLORADO RIVER FLOODWAY › § 1600k
The chapter does not change the rules in section 702c of title 33. The Secretary must tell all current and future lessees of U.S. land inside the Colorado River Floodway about section 702c and about this chapter. Unless this chapter says otherwise, the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 4001 et seq.) and the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) still apply in areas wholly or partly inside the Colorado River Floodway. Any maps or other information required by this chapter must be used as much as possible to support the NFIP. The Secretary must also publish a notice three successive occasions in newspapers of general circulation in communities affected by section 4029 of title 42.
