Title 43 › Chapter CHAPTER 38— - CRUDE OIL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS › § 2009
When the President approves a crude oil transportation system, federal agencies must move as fast as the law allows to decide on and give rights-of-way and permits needed to build and run it. They must follow other laws and publish a notice in the Federal Register after they act. Decisions for the Long Beach-Midland project must follow federal law and be made within 30 days after this chapter takes effect, unless the President extends the deadline to no later than 90 days. Agencies must publish notice. Nothing here changes decisions made before November 9, 1978. Rights-of-way are governed by section 185 of title 30, except subsection (w)(2).
