Certain odd-numbered sections that came from the Oregon and California Railroad grants (the Acts of July 25, 1866, and April 10, 1869), and for which the United States paid the railroad under the Act of June 9, 1916 and the court decision in United States v. Oregon and California R. R. Co., and that were put inside national-forest boundaries by presidential proclamations dated June 17, 1892; September 28, 1893; October 5, 1906; January 25, 1907; March 1, 1907; and March 2, 1907, are declared returned to federal ownership as Oregon and California grant lands. These lands must keep being managed as national-forest lands by the Secretary of Agriculture under the same laws and rules that govern national forests. All money now or previously taken from these lands and placed in a special deposit by agreement between the Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior must be handled under section 2605 of this title. These lands and their resources cannot be traded or exchanged under this or any other law that allows exchanges. Revenues distributed before June 24, 1954 are not affected.
