Title 43 › Chapter CHAPTER 11A— - BOARD ON GEOGRAPHIC NAMES › § 364a
Creates a Board on Geographic Names and requires one representative from each of these: the Departments of State, Defense, Interior, Agriculture, and Commerce, plus the Government Publishing Office, the United States Postal Service, and the Library of Congress. The Board can also add members from other federal agencies if the Board recommends them and the Secretary agrees. Heads of the agencies appoint members. Each serves a two-year term and may be reappointed, and they get no extra pay. The Board names a person for Chairman, who the Secretary appoints, and it can form working committees as needed.
