Lands that get irrigation water under a contract with the Secretary under Title III of the Colorado River Basin Project Act and are put into a recordable contract can receive water using the pricing rules the Secretary set under the federal reclamation law that was in effect right before October 12, 1982. Those pricing terms apply for no more than ten years from the date the Secretary says the land can be served with irrigation water.
