Title 43 › Chapter CHAPTER 4— - DISTRICT LAND OFFICES › § 91
Designated officers at district land offices may, under the Secretary of the Interior’s direction, deposit with the U.S. Treasurer any unearned fees and unofficial funds that have been on their office books for five years or more. The amounts are sent to the Treasury by warrant and recorded both to the credit of the person who paid them and in an appropriation account called "Outstanding liabilities."
