Title 43 › Chapter CHAPTER 4— - DISTRICT LAND OFFICES › § 93
Money shown in a district land office as "Moneys deposited by unknown parties" must be sent to the Treasurer of the United States with a list of each amount and, if possible, the receipt date. An officer named by the Secretary of the Interior must certify that, after investigation, ownership could not be determined and that the funds had been in the unearned-fee and unofficial-moneys accounts for five years or more.
