Title 44 › Chapter CHAPTER 19— - DEPOSITORY LIBRARY PROGRAM › § 1911
Make Government publications available for free to the public. If a depository library is served by a regional depository, it may dispose of those publications after five years under section 1912. Libraries that are regional depositories, or that are not served by a regional depository, must keep publications permanently in printed or microfacsimile form, except superseded items or later bound issues may be discarded as authorized by the Superintendent of Documents.
