Title 44 › Chapter CHAPTER 41— - ACCESS TO FEDERAL ELECTRONIC INFORMATION › § 7244
Agency heads must send the Director the specific information listed in section 7243(b)(1) about any report required by Congress. They have to do that no sooner than 30 days and no later than 60 days after the report is given to either House of Congress or any congressional committee or subcommittee. Agencies still must post the report on their own online site and send it to Congress or its committees as they are already required to do. By 180 days after Dec. 23, 2024, and later as needed, the OMB Director must issue guidance to agencies about how to follow this subtitle and section 1125(b) of title 31. Agency heads must make sure their reports follow that guidance and must name a point of contact for these reports. The Director cannot publish a report on the reports portal unless it comes from the agency head or someone that the agency head has officially designated.
