§160a Rules and regulations

The Mediation Board can make, change, or cancel rules it needs to carry out this chapter. It must follow the process in section 553 of title 5 and hold a public hearing first. The rule-making steps above do not apply to any rule or proposed rule that is covered by the third sentence of section 553(b) of title 5.

Title 45, §160a

(a)The Mediation Board shall have the authority from time to time to make, amend, and rescind, in the manner prescribed by section 553 of title 5, and after opportunity for a public hearing, such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter.
(b)The requirements of subsection (a) shall not apply to any rule or proposed rule to which the third sentence of section 553(b) of title 5 applies.
