Title 47 › Chapter CHAPTER 15— - SECURE AND TRUSTED COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS › § 1604
Providers of advanced communications service must send a yearly report to the Commission saying whether they bought, rented, leased, or otherwise got any covered communications equipment or service. For items on the initial list, the report covers acquisitions on or after August 14, 2018. For items added later, it covers acquisitions on or after 60 days after the Commission puts the item on the list. If a provider certifies it has no covered equipment in its network, it does not need to keep filing reports unless it later gets such equipment. If a provider says it did obtain covered equipment or services, the report must give a detailed reason for that choice, say whether the items have since been removed and replaced under section 1603, and say whether the provider plans to keep obtaining, installing, or using such equipment and why. The Commission must include these reporting rules in the rulemaking called for by section 1603(g).
