Title 47 › Chapter CHAPTER 6— - COMMUNICATIONS SATELLITE SYSTEM › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER VI— - COMMUNICATIONS COMPETITION AND PRIVATIZATION › Part Part C— - Deregulation and Other Statutory Changes › § 765g
Stops satellite companies from having exclusive rights to carry communications between the United States (including its territories and possessions) and any other country or territory. This covers any deal, contract, concession, or working arrangement that the satellite company or people or companies that control it or are controlled by it are part of. The Commission cannot make companies stop satellite services they already have under contract or tariff. The Commission can order that new services be stopped only to the country that gave the exclusive right, and only if it finds it required by the public interest, convenience, and necessity.
