Title 48 › Chapter CHAPTER 3— - HAWAII › § 25

Last updated Apr 22, 2026|Official source

Summary

Makes three wording changes in federal rules about where people or things are considered to be and about moving a dead body. One change replaces a long list of places outside the U.S. mainland and its territories with shorter wording that means locations not in any U.S. state. Another change says that when a death happens on the U.S. mainland or in Hawaii, the person in charge must carry the body to a burial place on the U.S. mainland or in Hawaii. The last change removes the word "Hawaii" from a different list in the law.
