section 8 of the Federal Register Act (49 Stat. 502), as amended, is further amended by striking out the words ‘continental United States (including Alaska)’ and inserting in lieu thereof the words ‘States of the Union and the District of Columbia’ [Repealed by Pub. L. 90–620, § 3, Oct. 22, 1968, 82 Stat. 1310].
