Title 49 › Subtitle SUBTITLE VII— - AVIATION PROGRAMS › Part PART A— - AIR COMMERCE AND SAFETY › Subpart subpart iii— - safety › Chapter CHAPTER 447— - SAFETY REGULATION › § 44742
Requires the FAA Administrator to keep working to stop or reduce interference by an ODA holder that hurts ODA unit members when they do their approved duties. Supervisors at ODA holders that make transport category airplanes must not interfere with an ODA unit member’s job. Each time a supervisor breaks this rule, they can be fined under section 46301(a)(1). The FAA can also use other enforcement powers if needed. ODA unit members must quickly report any interference to the ODA holder office set up to get those reports. That office must investigate and send its findings to the FAA office the Administrator names. The Administrator will set how, when, and in what form reports are sent. Reports must include the investigation results, actions taken, and any other relevant information. The definition in section 44736(c) applies. Interference means clear harassment, threats, or behavior meant to wrongly influence a member, or other duties that conflict with their authorized work.
