Summary

Agency heads must pick one person in their agency to be the internship coordinator. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must put online the coordinator’s name and how to contact them, plus each internship program’s application steps and deadlines. OPM must also post links to the agency webpages that show that information. An “internship program” covers a volunteer program under section 3111(b); the internship program created by Executive Order 13562 (dated December 27, 2010; 75 Fed. Reg. 82585); programs run by nongovernment groups that give paid internships under a written agreement like that Executive Order; and similar programs authorized by other law. “Intern” means a person in such a program. “Agency” means an Executive agency.
