Each executive agency must name an employee to be the Telework Managing Officer. That person must work in the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer or a similar office. They must make and run telework policies, advise agency leaders (including the CHCO), help managers and staff, be the agency’s main contact with the Office of Personnel Management, and do other assigned tasks. The Telework Managing Officer must be a senior official who can speak directly to the agency head. Someone can hold that job while also doing another agency position.
