Title 5 › Part PART III— - EMPLOYEES › Subpart Subpart G— - Insurance and Annuities › Chapter CHAPTER 85— - UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - EX-SERVICEMEN › § 8523
When the Secretary of Labor directs it, a federal agency must give the right State agency or the Secretary the information needed, in the form and way the Secretary’s rules require, to decide if someone is entitled to compensation under this subchapter. Certain findings are final and binding for the purposes of sections 8502(d) and 8503(c), except for errors or omissions that can be fixed under the Secretary’s rules. Those final findings cover whether a person met any condition in section 8521(a)(1), the periods of Federal service, and the pay grade at the time of the person’s last discharge or release. The pay and allowance schedules set by the Secretary under section 8521(a)(2) are also final.
