Title 50 › Chapter CHAPTER 56— - EXPORT ADMINISTRATION › § 1212
Within 60 days after November 18, 1997, the President must send a report to the congressional committees named in section 1215 listing all digital computers exported since January 25, 1996 that have more than 2,000 MTOPS (millions of theoretical operations per second). For each export the report must say whether a license was requested and granted, the date of transfer, the U.S. maker/exporter, the MTOPS level, and the destination country and end user. If a computer went to certain countries (those listed in 15 C.F.R. 740.7(d) or 740.7(e) as of June 10, 1997), the report must also state the intended end use and whether the end user is military or linked to nuclear, chemical, biological weapons, or missile work. That part of the report can be classified if needed.
