Title 50 › Chapter CHAPTER 38— - CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY RETIREMENT AND DISABILITY › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY RETIREMENT AND DISABILITY SYSTEM › Part Part F— - Period of Service for Annuities › § 2083
If a person leaves an Agency job during a war or a presidential or congressional national emergency to join the military, they are not treated as having lost that job under this law unless they apply for and get a refund of their contributions. They stop being treated as keeping the job after December 31, 1956, or after five years of military service, whichever is later. Unless sections 2082(e) or 2082(h) say otherwise, no contributions are required for the time a participant is on Agency leave while on active military duty.
