The Director of the FBI must send a report to the congressional intelligence committees and to the Senate and House Judiciary Committees no later than 30 days after December 18, 2025, and every year after that. Each report covers the FBI’s cases from the previous fiscal year and must give three numbers — the count of active cases, the count of unique cases, and the count of cases opened — for nine categories, including Russia and China counterintelligence; espionage or leaks; other counterintelligence by country; cartel and other transnational criminal organization counterterrorism; other international counterterrorism by country; Russia and China cyber national security; and other cyber national security by country. The report must be unclassified, but it may include a classified annex.
