Title 50 › Chapter CHAPTER 45— - MISCELLANEOUS INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY AUTHORITIES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - BUDGET AND OVERSIGHT › § 3314
Requires the NSA Director, working with the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, to send a report to the congressional intelligence committees and to the Senate and House Appropriations and Armed Services Committees. The first report was due within 120 days after May 5, 2017, and then once a year after that. Each report must say which national security systems or parts were decertified but still in use, the status of any extension requests for those systems, which systems are known to not follow the Committee on National Security Systems’ policies under National Security Directive 42 (signed July 5, 1990), and which organizations did not give the NSA Director enough access or information to check compliance.
