Title 50 › Chapter CHAPTER 46— - CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY › § 3513
You cannot use the words "Central Intelligence Agency," "CIA," its seal, or copies that look like them on products, in ads, when pretending to be the Agency, or for business if it would make people think the Agency approved it, unless the Director gives written permission. The Attorney General can go to federal court to stop people who are doing or plan to do this. The court must act quickly and can issue temporary orders to prevent harm before a final decision.
