Title 50 › Chapter CHAPTER 49— - MILITARY SELECTIVE SERVICE › § 3820
Guarantees anyone who files a claim with a Selective Service local or appeal board a fair hearing that is done informally and quickly. Under rules the President sets, the person may appear in person to testify and give evidence. They may call witnesses, but the board can limit how many and how long they speak. Enough board members must be present during the in-person appearance. If the board decides against them, they can ask for a short written explanation of the reasons.
