The Secretary of Veterans Affairs must tell the other Secretary how to handle applications. The person applying must send the original application to the insurance company and a copy to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. Caps the total life-insurance protection for a servicemember at $250,000, unless the servicemember’s Servicemember’s Group Life Insurance maximum limit is higher, in which case the higher amount applies.
