Title 50 › Chapter CHAPTER 20— - WIND TUNNELS › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - CONSTRUCTION OF WIND-TUNNEL FACILITIES › § 512
Under the unitary plan, the Administrator may build and outfit transsonic or supersonic wind tunnels sized and designed for efficient experimental work to support long-range basic research at schools in the continental United States, or contract with those schools to do the work, so long as total cost does not exceed $10,000,000. After consulting the Armed Services Committees of both the House and the Senate, the Administrator may transfer ownership of finished facilities to the schools on terms he believes are in the best interest of the United States.
