Summary

The Secretary can give project grants to sponsors to make U.S. space transportation more resilient only if the private sector pays at least 10% of the project and the grant covers no more than 50% of the total cost.

(a)To ensure the resiliency of the space transportation infrastructure of the United States, the Secretary of Transportation may make project grants to sponsors as provided in this chapter.
(b)The Secretary may make a project grant under this chapter only if—
(1)at least 10 percent of the total cost of the project will be paid by the private sector; and
(2)the grant will not be for more than 50 percent of the total cost of the project.
