§21133 Transfer of property, records, and personnel

Summary

Move all contracts, debts, records, property, and other assets tied to the Federal Election Commission offices and functions that this subchapter transfers to the Election Assistance Commission so it can sort and allocate them. Move the workers who handle those FEC offices and functions to the Election Assistance Commission. Any full-time or part-time employees in permanent jobs must not be fired, dropped to a lower job grade, or have their pay cut because of the move during the 1-year period beginning on October 29, 2002.

(a)The contracts, liabilities, records, property, and other assets and interests of, or made available in connection with, the offices and functions of the Federal Election Commission which are transferred by this subchapter are transferred to the Election Assistance Commission for appropriate allocation.
(b)(1)The personnel employed in connection with the offices and functions of the Federal Election Commission which are transferred by this subchapter are transferred to the Election Assistance Commission.
(2)Any full-time or part-time personnel employed in permanent positions shall not be separated or reduced in grade or compensation because of the transfer under this subsection during the 1-year period beginning on October 29, 2002.
