Title 52 › Subtitle Subtitle II— - Voting Assistance and Election Administration › Chapter CHAPTER 209— - ELECTION ADMINISTRATION IMPROVEMENT › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER VII— - MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS › § 21145
Stops this chapter from changing or overriding other federal voting and disability laws, except as section 21083(b) says about the National Voter Registration Act. It covers six named laws, including the Voting Rights Act of 1965; the Voting Accessibility for the Elderly and Handicapped Act; the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act; the National Voter Registration Act of 1993; the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. If the Administrator or the Commission approves a payment or grant, or if the Commission or a State takes actions under those subchapters, that approval or action does not change preclearance or any other duties under section 5 of the Voting Rights Act (52 U.S.C. 10304) or other parts of that Act.
