Title 54 › Subtitle Subtitle I— - National Park System › Chapter CHAPTER 1015— - TRANSPORTATION › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER IV— - FEES › § 101531
When the National Park Service or a contractor gives transportation to all or part of a park unit, the Secretary may charge the public a reasonable fee for that transportation on top of any park entrance fee. The Secretary can collect the fees at the transportation staging area or another convenient place and may hire public or private groups that meet the Secretary’s standards to collect them. Money from those transportation fees must stay with the park unit where they were collected and can only be used for that unit’s transportation costs.
