Summary

Creates a National Park Service Advisory Council that must give advice and help to the National Park System Advisory Board. Board means the National Park System Advisory Board. Council means the new National Park Service Advisory Council. Only people whose term on the Board has ended may serve on the Council. They may keep serving while active, but no more than 12 members at the same time. Council members get no salary but can be paid travel expenses for council work. Council members cannot vote on the Board.

(a)In this section:
(1)The term “Board” means the National Park System Advisory Board established under section 102303 of this title.
(2)The term “Council” means the National Park Service Advisory Council established under subsection (b).
(b)There is established a National Park Service Advisory Council that shall provide advice and counsel to the Board.
(c)(1)Membership on the Council shall be limited to individuals whose term on the Board has expired. Those individuals may serve as long as they remain active except that not more than 12 members may serve on the Council at any one time.
(2)Members of the Council shall receive no salary but may be paid expenses incidental to travel when engaged in discharging their duties as members.
(d)Members of the Council shall not have a vote on the Board.
