§104901 Central warehouses at System units

Title 54 › Subtitle Subtitle I— - National Park System › Chapter CHAPTER 1049— - MISCELLANEOUS › § 104901

Last updated Apr 6, 2026|Official source

Summary

The Secretary may keep central warehouses at System units. Money set aside for running, protecting, maintaining, and improving those units can buy supplies for the warehouses. Warehouses can distribute supplies to projects at cost, including transport and handling. Money can be moved between the different accounts so the project using supplies pays for them. Supplies left at the end of a fiscal year may be used later and paid for by transfers among that year's accounts without reducing those amounts. Supplies must not be bought just to increase inventory beyond reasonable needs for the year.
