Summary

The Secretary can add extra federal money to rehabilitation or innovation grants when a State also puts in money, matching up to 15% of the project cost. Even with that extra match, the federal share cannot be more than 85% of the total project cost. The Secretary must ask States to help watch over local park and recreation recovery plans so they are carried out, and to make sure, when appropriate, that those local plans fit the State’s statewide outdoor recreation policies.
