Summary

Limits how grant money can be spent under the program. No single State can get more than 15% of the program’s grant funds in any fiscal year. No more than 3% of the yearly grant money can go to recovery action program grants, and no more than 10% can go to innovation grants. Local governments may use at most 25% of the funds they receive under the program for program support. None of the program funds may be used to buy land or any interest in land.

(a)The amount of grants made under this chapter for projects in any one State for any fiscal year shall not be more than 15 percent of the amount made available for grants to all of the States for that fiscal year.
(b)Not more than 3 percent of the amount made available for grants under this chapter for a fiscal year shall be used for recovery action program grants.
(c)Not more than 10 percent of the amount made available for grants under this chapter for a fiscal year shall be used for innovation grants.
(d)Not more than 25 percent of the amount made available under this chapter to any local government shall be used for program support.
(e)No funds made available under this chapter shall be used for the acquisition of land or an interest in land.
