Summary

The Secretary may give matching grants and technical help to build a network of government and private groups. The network will create and run educational programs and preserve sites about national women’s rights history. By competition, the Secretary must pick a nongovernmental group to manage the network. That manager must work with the Director and State historic preservation offices. The federal share of any funded activity is 50 percent, and State offices can make matching grants for preservation. The law authorizes $1,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2012 and 2013 to carry out this work.
