Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 35— - AGRICULTURAL ADJUSTMENT ACT OF 1938 › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II— - LOANS, PARITY PAYMENTS, CONSUMER SAFEGUARDS, MARKETING QUOTAS, AND MARKETING CERTIFICATES › Part Part F— - Miscellaneous Provisions and Appropriations › Subpart subpart i— - miscellaneous › § 1387
The Secretary can give or sell copies of maps, aerial photos, mosaics, and geo-referenced data the Department collected. Farmers and government agencies get them at the estimated cost to make them. Others can buy them at prices the Secretary sets, but not for less than the estimated processing and updating costs. Money from sales must go into the U.S. Treasury and be credited to the same fund that paid to make the copies. This does not stop the Secretary from handling these materials in other ways allowed by law.
