Packer plant officers or their chosen representatives must report to the Secretary at least twice each reporting day — once before 12:00 noon Central Time and once after. For every negotiated boxed beef lot they must give the price (dollars per hundredweight, F.O.B. plant), how many boxes were sold, and basic lot details: grade (USDA Choice or better, USDA Select, or ungraded no‑roll), the cut, and the trim specification. The Secretary must make that reported information available to the public at least twice each reporting day.
