Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 42— - AGRICULTURAL COMMODITY SET-ASIDE › § 1747
Congress may provide funds to pay the Commodity Credit Corporation for any commodities moved into the national stockpile under the law that allows those transfers. The payment must be the smaller of two amounts: the U.S. market price on the day the commodity is transferred, or what the Commodity Credit Corporation spent on it, as decided by the Secretary of Agriculture.
