Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 43— - FOREIGN MARKET DEVELOPMENT › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - GENERAL PROVISIONS; AGRICULTURAL COUNSELORS AND AGRICULTURAL ATTACHÉS › § 1761
The Secretary of Agriculture must gather information about foreign demand, competition, and how U.S. farm products are sold and moved overseas to help U.S. farmers, processors, distributors, and exporters adjust to world markets. The Secretary must share and explain that information at home, investigate abroad what affects exports, and run overseas efforts like showing U.S. quality standards when needed; this does not stop the Department from doing any foreign work it is already allowed to do.
