Officers under this law must give their reports and dispatches to the Department of State. They may also share them with other government agencies. Agricultural reports and related information made by Foreign Service officers must be available to the Secretary of Agriculture. If the Secretary of Agriculture asks, the Secretary of State can provide office space, equipment, and office help for those staff. Other federal agencies can also make their people and facilities available when asked. The Secretary of Agriculture may pay or provide money in advance to cover those services.
