§2009aa–8 Approval of development plans and projects

Summary

The Authority must review and approve any State, regional, or multistate subregional development plan proposed under this subchapter. Any grant or other help for a project must be applied for through the State member of the Authority who represents the applicant, and that State member evaluates the request. A project can only be approved if the State member certifies that it shows how it follows any applicable State development plan, meets the criteria in section 2009aa–7, gives adequate assurance it will be run and kept up properly, and meets the subchapter’s requirements. After that certification, the Authority must cast an affirmative vote under section 2009aa–1(c) to approve the application.
