Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 55— - DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE › § 2207b
The Secretary must collect data about economic activity created by certain grants and loans, including any technical help that comes with them, and measure the short‑ and long‑term success of award winners and the people or groups they help under section 1627c; section 940c(b)(2); or sections 310B(c), 310B(e), 310B(g), 310H, 379E, or subtitle E of the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act (7 U.S.C. 1932(c), 1932(e), 1932(g), 1936b, 2008s, 2009 et seq.). The data must come from recipients during the award and for at least 2 years after the award ends. No later than 4 years after February 7, 2014, and every 2 years after that, the Secretary must report the data to the House and Senate agriculture committees. The report must say how the data was used, the percent change in employees, number of new businesses and clients served, any benefits such as higher revenue or more customers, and any other information the Secretary thinks is useful.
