The Secretary can publish materials the Plant Variety Protection Office finds useful. That includes plant variety descriptions with drawings and photos, the Office’s official journal with yearly indexes, and pamphlets about the protection laws, rules, and other Office publications. The Secretary can set up public search facilities and share public technical information to promote plant breeding. The Secretary can also exchange these publications, including swapping U.S. descriptions, drawings, and photos for similar foreign ones.
