North Dakota must manage the land it got under section 301 and any money from that land according to the rules below, even if sections 303, 304, or 305 say something different. Money from land sales that goes into a trust fund must have all its earnings put back into the fund, have the fund pay its own administration costs, and be run to preserve the fund’s purchasing power and keep beneficiary payments steady. Any payments from those funds must follow section 2 of article IX of the North Dakota Constitution.
